Spatial heatmaps? Finally! 🫠
🇦🇹 At AWE in Vienna, I've accidentally met Tony Bevilacqua from Cognitive3D and my mind was blown!
🌞 Tony Bevilacqua and his company are working on spatial heatmaps software, which is kind of self-explanatory, and so needed!
👓 My mind started racing, what if we started to use this not only to capture experiences in VR/XR but also to retroactively design UX? Hear me out:
- We start by first recording footage of the person interacting with their real environment (like a chef in the kitchen) from their POV
- We use spatial heatmaps to understand where this person's attention is.
- We design XR/VR UI and entire UX based on that data, hook up Cognitive3D and keep iterating, making that UI/UX insanely good from the very first use.
- And then, we progressively evolve UI/UX to dynamically adapt to user changing needs, by using that spatial heatmap data to adjust sizes/positions/entire UI as the user keeps using the XR/VR software.
💡 Thanks Tony Bevilacqua for inspiring me, and i'm super excited to see what can come out of this!
