I was walking around IBTM event in Barcelona (it's a place where "meeting" industry meets), and I've been observing how people from all over the world try to convince each other to organize events, workshops conferences at their locations, in their hotels, cities and countries.
As I've kept walking, I've realized that for a long time, people could only do live events. Digital events, virtual events were not really a thing untill pretty recently, yet all saas innovation has been really focused on live events, and digital events have only been an after thought.
Every platform like meetup, eventbrite etc treat virtual, digital events like an addition, not a core. Especially not focusing on virtual reality events - type of event I predict will grow in popularity very soon.
So with that insight, jacked on yerba mate, I've sat down at the expo floor, and started coding XEETUP. A platform that simply connects people who organize VR/Virtual events, with people who look for specifically these types of events.
Let's see where this will go, at this point, I just wanted to scratch that "creative/observation" itch. I've built it in couple of days, with the help of AI code editors, and right now it's functional alpha.
