Through two intensive strategy conversations with Pedro Zeni, we identified a critical gap in academia: scientists have no way to benchmark their lab environments before committing years of their careers.

My role was to transform this insight into a clear value proposition—positioning Scitrust not as a review site, but as a tool for personal clarity backed by real data.

The breakthrough was reframing the entire experience as a fair exchange: 10 minutes of anonymous input for instant, personalized insights.

I designed a three-phase user journey—landing page, questionnaire, and results—where every interaction reinforces this contract.

The UI language, visual metaphors, and progression all communicate trust, privacy, and tangible value at each step.

For a platform asking scientists to share sensitive workplace experiences, the design had to feel secure and professional.

I developed a minimalist visual system inspired by confidential medical forms—clean typography, ample white space, and a prominent progress bar that makes a 10-minute commitment feel manageable.

Every design choice signals: "Your data is handled with care."

The questionnaire balances quantitative rigor with human nuance.

I structured five standardized metrics (mentorship, psychological safety, data integrity, work-life balance, impact) to enable AI benchmarking, then added open-ended prompts to capture the anecdotes numbers can't—like "one specific behavior that illustrates your lab's culture."

This dual approach gives users both data-driven insights and relatable narratives.

The results page delivers the "wow" moment—charts comparing their lab to the dataset—then immediately channels that satisfaction into community building.

Users don't just consume their report; they're invited to suggest new questions, upvote others' ideas, and join a Founding Members group. I designed this flow to transform one-time users into active collaborators who feel ownership over the platform's evolution.
